This was startling - just after finding out his clutchmate had passed on, I scrubbed my hands/arms and then went to check on everyone else, and came across Panpepato "roaring" at me. None of the babies have ever done this except for when they've come directly out of the egg. It was like Panpepato was mad at me for the loss of his brother.
Once he realized it was "just me" he calmed back down again, and never tried to bite - he just wanted to scare me. I probably deserve it. |
