Green-Eyed Stranger

... once again, sigh.

While at the herp show, I was wandering the aisles and this positively huge gecko caught my eye. There he was, sitting alone in a large deli cup, his unblinking green eyes... not blinking.

The fellow running the booth saw me staring. We exchanged small talk. Talk turned to the big gecko. After a few minutes, I told myself I was ready to walk away.

The man asked if I wanted to hold it.

SIGH. This is what happened with the cresties.

The cresties, I fell in love with because of their warm floppy feet. Well, this guy? He is bigger, and floppier, and even less skittish.

He is Gehyra marginata, sometimes (incorrectly) called "Vorax." He doesn't have a JB-name yet. His fatty folds and rolls and huge feet make me want to call him Pancake though.
