While some hapless wizards worked desperately to learn the secret of transforming lead and other metals into gold, other, possibly wiser wizards put their brains to work and learned the secret of turning love into something you could sell.

The recipe is thought to involve red rose petals, the boiled hearts of small frogs, the tiniest amount of diamond dust, strings from the lute of a bard who performs love tunes, and the hair from the tail of a white horse (please, no unicorn hair - we are, after all, chasing love, not purity). Add a few drops of love spring water, a touch of fire under a cauldron, stir clockwise on the vernal equinox, and you have the pearly colorful solution known as Wizard's Love Potion.

After bottling the stuff in tiny doses (larger doses would be dangerous... er, more dangerous), the wizards consulted with local witches who encouraged the old men to include something "feminine" in order to encourage womenfolk to try the potions. Unable to find much of the gentler persuasion in their cluttered workshops, the wizards attached tiny tin hearts which were formerly going to be used to power mechanical birds (which would -not- leave droppings like their usual ravens but still add a decent amount of cluttery noise).

It should be noted that wizards are a group of generally musty-smelling nearsighted old men who rarely change robes, let alone get out much. It is unknown whether the swooning from this potion was caused by emotion or ... well, let's just say boiled frog hearts have an odor.

Wow, that's so awesome! :D I like the "potion" shape better, I think, but that's really just me. :) I love the colors you used, and the materials all really lend themselves to each other... Sehr, sehr schon! :la:

In addition, your description adds a lot to this piece! :) You are a gifted storyteller in addition to a skilled craftsperson. ^ ^ Excellent work!
