The complete oddness of the Yoshi has always troubled me, even when I was a little kid and I first stood glossy-eyed in Toys R Us trying out the brand new Super Nintendo. Yoshi was always referred to as a boy, but those eggs popped out like whoa.
I shall not here touch on the weirdness of Birdo from SMB2. The eggs didn't even come out of that thing's REAR.
Anyway, I put Yoshi in my own style here because I dislike the way his eyes are normally bigger than (and coming out of) his head. That could possibly explain why he ate such large amounts, I suppose. His eyes were bigger than his stomach, and pretty much everything else in the Mario World.
And why the heck did they all come out of the egg wearing boots? And saddles? Talk about a handy animal. I wish they were still around. My cats are tired of me trying to ride them.
I also wanted him to learn to take smaller bites, but darnit, I forgot everything in Mario games has eyes. So that just ended up disturbing.
Yoshi and the (ever unfortunate) Goomba belong, of course, to Nintendo.
I haven't played enough Mario.
As in I've never played any.

Yoshi is an example of practical evolution; while most animals go out of their way to evolve things like fur and feathers, Yoshi grow their own, in vitro. Think about it, have you ever seen them remove that clothing?
Many species have managed an asexual lifestyle for some time, the average being about 3 million years; however eventually since they must all be clones, the genetic identicallity [Did you ever see say, a blue Yoshi?] means they die out because of not adapting.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

I still have my old Super Nintendo from way back in 1991. It works...semi-ok. I also still have the original Super Mario Game!!!!
Your literary skills really are amazing. I am still rusty on mine myself...but I am catching up none the less.
